Neandertolls - Emotional Tears?

In the mid nineties, there was a significance of some previously unrecognized apomorphes in the nasal region of homo neandertalensis. So perhaps on one hand it seems like they had emotional states like we did. But does that mean that they could produce tears as well? Emotional tears not necessarily a given, eh, eh.
