The Army's Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Chalk 2
Pilots were from the Army's one-sixtieth Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Two modified Blackhawks would drop 24 seals and a Belgian Malinois combat dog named Cairo. The US wasn't telling Pakistan so the helicopters could be shot down by Pakistan's modern air defenses. Raids like this were common many nights in Afghanistan and Iraq.
