Jennifer Gonzalez: In this episode, we're going to get a better understanding of what the secret sauce is for deeper learning in schools. Sarah Fine was a graduate student at Harvard Graduate School of Education who decided to go on a nationwide search for schools that had created environments where deep learning was happening. She and Joel Mayda were surprised and disappointed by what they found, but still able to extract the secret sauce. They shared their findings in their 2019 book in search of deeper learning. And especially during April, Financial Literacy Month, there's no better time to equip students with smart decision-making around finances.
