Many discussions are actually pointless. They do not bring about any change, only reinforce your sense of self. But there are other situations where perhaps something you are having the discussion with somebody because some change needs to happen. It doesn't mean that you cannot pursue the discussion and that's an interesting point. The more conscious you become, the more you realize which discussions are actually completely pointless and what discussions may have some purpose.
