Are the Building Regulations Really Followed in Turkey?
A lot of press reports are referred to the fact that the earthquake provisions in Turkey's building regulations are actually strong. So my next question has to be, do you think those regulations were actually followed in the case of the residential buildings that collapsed? It's difficult to give answers without further investigation. When we look at the way that building us collapsed while building next to them are still standing, then the question arises why one is completely collapsed while the other one is still standing.
