All aliens in the causality graphs have a common ancestor in the... If the building blocks are the same, which means they live in the same universe as us. So it depends on how far back in time you go though. The average path tells you something about the actual steps that were realized. And that becomes an emergent property of that object's interaction with other objects. But then you can only communicate with things as Lee was saying if you have some overlap in the past history.
