How to Write a Novel That Sells
I think that the thing that's surprising to hear about the 90-day novel as an exercise, because Eileen is such a literary book and so well-crafted. There isn't a spare sentence in there. I mean, I'm not surprised to hear that you're a disciplined writer, but that you just sat down and said, I need to write something that will sell and it gets bloody listed for the Booker Prize. So congratulations for that.
