How to Add Ideophones to a Language

Some languages that have ideophones do have single syllable ones where it's not obvious what's going on necessarily with the symbolism and like any sort of language situation. The normal arbitrary relationship between sound signified still applies to these as it does in other vocabulary. From a lot of the examples you've heard there's an element of reduplication and it doesn't have to be pure just repeating the word over and over again. That can happen as we heard in the Japanese examples. Something like Bori Bori which is supposed to describe things that are soft.
