As of this recording, bitcoin value has dropped dramatically in the last several months. It's lost more than half its value since it peaqued in the fall of 20 21. There's a lot of risk in a system built on speculation. But diana points out that in the case of carbon currency, speculation may not be quite as risky. The creation of carbon currency would be linked to the creation of value to the public in the form of carbon sequestration. That could potentially become also speculative so there can be a speculation around it.
