An ga is a case marker, so it would go in a set with things like or and nee. Ranga is the nominative case marker, which might mean somethingif they studied german or latin. And then dat da exist in english. It's often translated in text books as asfor Rid y. So we kind of have an equivalent. But i think the difference is that a is used everywhere in japanese,. whereas you can't relly go about saying as for is. They're both particles.
