Episode #174 ... Simone Weil - The Mathematician

Philosophize This!

CHAPTER

Simone Vay's Lucidity

Frida Ghitis: Simone Vay says we don't have to spend our life choosing sides between various forms of collective thought. She argues that if you remove your ego from this whole process of exchanging knowledge, when someone else sees something different than you do, it starts to not feel like as much of a directive front to your existence. Ghitis: This is yet another example in her work of trying to get past the particulars to be able to access something more universal. But anyway, let's continue on with this episode just assuming that we've all been sufficiently sold on the concept of attention.
