The Enchantment of Capitalism

Scientism is a blind belief in science with a capital S. It inhibits, disqualifies and often even criminalizes all other forms of enchantment that go in other directions. The need to reenchant the word explains the success of conspiracy fantasies. Conspiratorialism provides people with a substitute for anti-capitalism and class war. To them life is an ongoing performance. There's no moving away from the market logic.
