The Difference Between Generalist and Specialist
I like that idea of a multi disciplinary, multi subject project. Can you imagine applying not just one discipline, but all of them to and trying to weave a project that brings it all together? I i'm really pleased that you brought that up because it reminds me of an idea that the american philosopher mortimer adler speaks about when he's talking about the differences between the sciences and the humanities. It's more like the ocess the how is scientific, or the process is humanistic. Its specialist versus generalist. A good education should involve both riht. We should have the specialists specific knowledge, and we should have the broad humanistic general knowledge. On the surface things
