The Death of the Queen of Scots
I think her passing might be a moment for reconsidering who we are, what we represent. The Queen came to power with many colonies and then they fell away from her within her first decades on the throne. After the war increasingly it became clear that we were a very minor player within the shadow of the Americans. Her existence meant the country never had to come to terms with quite how much had changed in that time.
