Catholic law makers succeeded in stopping cook's bill in te 69. But in 19 70, she tried again and this time it narrowly passed the state senate. Its fate would be decided in the state assembly. And there they're down to the final vote, and they do the vote, cout and a tie. That dedlock 74 meant the bill was going to fail. Then somebody notices that one of the assembly people is sitting at his desk and he's starting to cry. He says, i've been agonizing oethis. My own children have been yelling at me,. I cannot go home to a family sater and tell them that i let this bill fail.
