Is There an Alternative to Mainstream Media?

i like the idea of keeping an open mind and being prepared to think critically about every single thing that you know, you read and see. And almost to prove that there's alternative is that the term main stream media didn't actually exist about 15, 20 years ago. It's only called mainstreat media because there's now an alternative. Before it used to be called vermedia. But, ye, i mean, there's just loads and lons of history, and there are lots of things happening around the world.
