The Choice Is, There's Always Choice
In the south, there's part of it as a choice because, and that's what athemo forging theory is about. So being attacked is worse than the acorns, so they choose acorns. Then there's also stuff that in the south, it wouldn't really have been possible to completely subsist on salmon. The pacific north west coast peoples, and admit their several different cultures, like it does in the river. Their founder populations ere totally different people with nothing in common with each other. Yet they settle down in 800 year old settlements where they all have almost the same social system.
