The more you try to deliver that personal connection, the more deflating and exhausting it is for a coach. You just got to be okay with the things you suck at. Most coaches tend to be kind of like introverts, but have extrovert tendencies in a certain context. I realized I needed someone who was strong in areas I was weak and vice versa.
