Darwin and the Island of Manhattan
Charles darwin stopped in sydney in 18 36 at the end of his voyage aboard the beagle. He saw platypus for himself, including one that had been shot by a member of his expedition. The work of darwin and his successors would eventually put the platopus in context based on how it had evolved over time. And we'll talk more about that after we pause for osor brake folks.
