There are shamanistic religious practices in Korea and they're a part of the culture. It doesn't necessarily mean that this is stuff that Choi and her father just made up. We know that Choi had access to secret government documents, we also know that she edited the president's speeches. On one hand, it could be as simple as proofreading. But on the other hand, Choi could have been altering the content of these speeches.
