The Boxer Rebellion

The Boxer Rebellion is a milestone event for the floating city of Columbia. The US ordered the city to stand down and Comstock, the city's leader, refuses to do it. So when the US sanctions the city and tries to recall it back home, the city secedes and cuts ties with the US.
