i recently did a podcast with christopher mimms, who is a journalist of well street journal about industrial ecology and how stuff gets to us in the modern world. And so my point is that even though our sort of circles of carrying have grown as we become a more interconnected world, we are also so different ated in what we do. We're not aware until talking with chris and reading the book, about the truck drivers who are bringing me this stuff, or i could go my life a not really connecting in some deep way to the people who serve me food - which maybe 200 years ago would not been impossible.
