Christian McCaffrey has something called patellar tendonitis. He's still going to play as much as any running back outside of like Sake wants. Trey Lance has thrown five touchdowns in his NFL career compared to McCaffrey's two and a half combined. The 49ers can't pick between running backs because he uses all his late round picks on them so they just gave away all their picks from McCaffrey.
