In 19 15, d w Griffith's The clansman was the first film ever shown at the white house to president woodor wilson. It inspired a man called william joseph simonds to re start the cuco clan which had been suppressed under ulysses s grant in the late 18 seventies after its finding in 18 65. So basically, it is worth remembering that film can do very, very good things, and also really, really, really bad things as in the case i'm about to tell you about.
