The story isn't just about your morality and obedience. It is, but the story that god is telling in this scripture is inviting us to see the story behind the story. And it's actually the story that leads to your immorality, that leading to your disobedience. Its the narrative of empire. We said, this whole story is going to be a narrative of two empires. A tale of two kingdoms, empire and shalom. God continues to invite us to trust that we're ok and that we don't need more. Invites us to enter his rest and wait on every word. He invites us to sit in the shade and not worry too much about horses or houses made
