The Paradox of a Slow Motion General Strike

I was really struck by slow motion general strike and you're way of providing that there's not just two alternatives say revolution or reform. The idea is that in order to support a general strike or any strike for that matter, you have to have alternative sources of provisioning. It's not reform of existing institutions exactly because it's actually looking for alternative institutions. But the point was that these alternative institutions already exist. In other words, there wouldn't be one, but a number, a network of institutions, alternative institutions that you would use for daycare or for whatever may be.
