I was fixated on this one piece of music called Philly J. J. and I was 11 maybe. And I heard this drumming because it featured a guy named Philly Joe Jones. It's maybe the hardest thing you can play on that instrument. But no one said you can't do this. He had no idea what he was doing. My hands were like weird. And I was banging on the side and I just kept doing it. Hours and hours.
