The UK's Vaccine Task Force Is a Success
Sir Richard Sykes was chair of the vaccine task force in June 2021. The government announced a 10-year partnership with American Biotechnology Company Moderna, maker of one of the two WHO approved mRNA vaccines for COVID-19. Since 2018, the government had invested nearly £200 million into VIMIC, which was repurposed to manufacture COVID during the pandemic. Sir Richard: "We cannot be on full alert when there's no reason to be on full Alert"
