HR discipline has a lot to say about how to build very resilient systems that can roam across a lot more than just a few inputs like this. Engineering thinking company becomes the new desired model and goal of the HR discipline is actually not to make all these arbitrary decisions but actually to look at what is the model of a company. It's extremely hard to change boracosy because it's an extraordinarily lossy model if you hold it up to what is happening in the world and so i never know if it's an interesting topic because I have no answers.
