The Importance of Language in Translation
With English being really expressive, that means there's multiple shades of ambiguity and simultaneous meanings for the same word. Ezra Pound defined great literature as simply language charged with meaning to the utmost possible degree. You can charge it in one of three ways: fanopoeia, Mel appear or log appear. If I fall in love with a book like Don Quixote, Anna Karenina, I will buy multiple translations because they're so wildly different.
