Gayle Long decided she was going to do something. She asked her kids who are the other students struggling with reading in school. In August of 2010 she invited them to a meeting at her house. Everyone had experienced the same thing. Their dyslexic kids were not being identified or given appropriate help. They ended up filing a group complaint against the school system kind of like a class action. The parents won.
