I think it's an act of charity to kind of lovingly confront some one about harmful or destructive behavior. If someone's not building you up, they're probably tearing you down at some level. It may just need to assess, like, how much time do i need to spend with this person? Like, you don't need to cut people off, per se, but you may just want to assess if this is someone i need to be spending a great deal of my time withot harsh, but but also realize at that friendships matter and they can.
