The role scope does depend because it kind of also relates to an organization. Sometimes teams lose a particular role, so the shape of your role splits. And then there's also just general expectations and associations with what do they mean. The engineering manager isn't necessarily always responsible for the people. They're more focused on the delivery - making sure that client expectations are met.
