The Importance of Natural Theology in the Middle Earth

Tolkien's Middle Earth is a world guided by this general revelation. There hasn't been a covenantal, Abrahamic, special revelation happening yet. The only thing he does is takes the gods, the Pantheon and knocks them down from gods into angels. And I mean it has far reaching consequences.
