The History of the Earthquake

A reading of 2.5 to 5.4 denotes an earthquake that is often felt, but only causes minor damage. Millions of these occur around the world every year. Equakes of 6.1 to 6.9 might cause a lot of damage in very populated areas. It's only happened around 100 times a year. A quake of 8 or greater will totally destroy communities near the epicenter. And these happen only about once a year.
