I Was a 21 Year Old White Kid From Portland, Oregon

I spent about a year out there So cold so cold It's like negative 30 with wind chill on the regular. I was working with a native run nonprofit doing street outreach helping out homeless people in Rapid City, South Dakota and helping out on the reservation. Also during the winter I helped run a homeless shelter like the only Non-government homeless shelter in all Rapid City. Just learning about a whole new culture and language in our country,. you know not going to another country it was like another country another culture in our own You know in the borders.
