How to Build the Ideal Solar Cell?

If one tries to build solar cells, at least in the mind, from that perspective, it seems like the first port of call would be to build a computer model. And then obviously try to if, once you have that working, or working to some extent, then try to build things in a lab or check it. Whether whether it makes sense, whether it's the best route, to start with a computer simulation and then try out the design that you optimized, really depends on how good your models are of the materials that you the material group that you want to use.
