After two thousand six came out, funding for research into various forms of soluble amaloid bata exploded. Thni h went from spending a few million dollars in two thousand six on this topic, to over 280 million. In two thousand 21 farma companies have spent billions of dollars developing and and doing clinical trials on drugs that tackle soluble form of amloid bata - which i might add, so far have failed,. Study after study, trial to trial, drug after drug.
This past July, a bombshell report in Science magazine suggested that a key Alzheimer’s study might have contained manipulated evidence. What does this mean for over a decade's worth of research? And where does the field go from here?
