Many of the problems that we have in higher education can be traced back to what I'm calling the geometric information. A student and their family decide to apply to and then matriculate at a college or university. They have very little information about what someone with their background and profile is likely to achieve out of that program. The downside to an apprenticeship is you're gamefully employed and have a lot of employable skills.
