Asia's integration really started from the bottom up and started from companies and CEOs. This was really a private sector-driven path that was followed. But it started with the Japanese in the 60s when they ran out of labor quickly as they were big Cold War boom. And you saw this sort of Japan seeding other countries around the region as they looked for labor and they outsourced.
