The Essence of Fire

LeVar Burton recently sat down with Dr. Henry Lewis Gates, the guy from Know Your Roots and he did my family's genealogy. He said that we are forged by all of the energy of our ancestors that come before us. And it is clear to me that I am absolutely the result of the circumstances and the hard work and sacrifice that those who came before me made so that I might be here in this now moment.
