A d h d does convey a deficit in emotional control. The emotion they're having makes it's reasonable, but they're not controlling it as well as other children. A more severe mood disorder may require separate treatment to help gain control over that. Or if the child's emotions are so capricious, that is their changing so quickly that it has nothing to do with the environment at all.
