The Problem With Metrics
There is more awareness of this now than there was two three four years ago. I would never use journal impact factors or H indices in my you know and I look very badly on that when I am in on obviously I sit on a lot of interview panels as we all do. You can't help it sometimes put people put this in their CV but if someone brought it up in a panel I wouldn't be using it at all to cut down your applicant pool from 30 to the five you want to interview no because I think there are better ways of doing it.
