The actress played a virologist who works out what's coming in her 2011 film Contagion. She talks about how playing that role affected the way she has watched the COVID-19 pandemic unfold in real life. In your latest film, Ammonite, you play the real-life paleontologist Mary Anneng - one of the first and greatest fossil hunters. It really moved me to see how much it meant to people in Lyme Regis where we filmed that we were bringing her to life.
It’s been 25 years since the release of James Cameron’s cult classic, Titanic. The epic movie, which early fans will remember came out on VHS in two parts because it was so long, is now being rereleased in cinemas. But more importantly, James Cameron has finally admitted that Jack might have survived had he been allowed on the now infamous door, and if he were to make this film again today the raft would be a lot smaller.
