Is There a Battle Going on in the News Industry?
i t v had a major scoop last week, as we discussed here on the medior show. The had footage of allegra stratton joking about a downing street party. What was the mood at channel for news like watching your colleaes get such a big scoop? Pleasure, genuine pleasure, because it had come from i t v,. which didn't have a great track record of real massive scoops like that. Is there a lot of competition? People exaggerate the extent to which there is some sort of a battle going on. I don't really think there is.
