The Dunning-Kruger Effect

The Dunning-Kruger effect is where people at the lowest end of the knowledge curve actually thought that they were better. So among people who are anti-GMO, for example, the people who knew the least about genetics thought they knew the most. And so there we are dealing with a distinct phenomenon of misinformation, of illusory knowledge.
