Is there something psychological in wanting to keep as many resources as possible? But then also the flip side that some people are just wired to be more about knowledge flows rather than knowledge stocks. What you know today is becoming obsolete. So if you're just holding on to that, you're holding on to a depleting asset and you will be marginalized over time. It's complicated. There are many different dimensions and elements to it.
