Why Aren't We Talking About Values?

Values are aspirational. Theyare what we want to stand for, and that's typically true. Morals are internal, so they're personal to us. We make sense of them internally, but an individual can't determine ethics on her or his own. Ethics is a collective view of what's helpful or harmful. You need values, you need morals, you need ethics. But it's the distinctions between them that actually make them really useful in making a difficult decision.
