How to Improve the Speed of a Single Primitive
Clark Weedman did some work at UMass and he's looking at 13 different benchmarks. In his examples, the syntax analysis is 50%, around 50% of CPU time. Confirmability checks are close to say 15 to 20%. Memory management is just over 20%. And execute is occasionally helps over 20%, but is usually down around 10%. So we did similar things at Sharp and the results are always the same.
