The Politics of Putin

I don't think you can really determine what the politics of the authors are based on the series. There's a subset of international relations theory called human nature realism. Humans have a desire for power, wealth, and status. And this is going to be a major effect in international relations. So theoretically, if you want to apply this lens to the current conflict in Russia, you would look at Putin and try and ascertain how is this benefiting him as opposed to viewing the countries as billiard balls.
